my kid loves to paint. like, really, really loves it. he reminds me of a hippie on acid painting himself for entertainment. yes, i went there.
this, as it turns out, is a small lesson in self sacrifice. as a mom i want him to explore and enjoy. as a lazy person i think about the mess that requires cleaning. the first usually wins out.
